Cases of Interest

The cases below were investigated by Inland Investigations Group and published with the permission of the clients.

Computer Forensics/High Technology Investigation
An investigations firm retained IIG to initially assist with technology based investigation. IIG was tasked with researching historical information for several domain names that were initially purchased by a professional organization. In addition, IIG preserved several computers, email accounts, and cellular telephones in anticipation of pending litigation against the organization. A computer forensics examination was performed that retrieved information and artifacts pertaining to the case.

Computer Forensics
IIG assisted a client in a professional office setting by auditing a former employee’s Internet usage during work hours. The results of the computer forensics examination showed the former employee was violating company policy by using the business’ computer and network resources to access social networking and other recreational related content during working hours.

Computer Forensics/High Technology Investigation
A law firm retained IIG to assist with litigation support with a defamation lawsuit filed in federal court.  The lawsuit involved the preservation and examination of several  computers, cellular telephones, and email accounts. IIG was also tasked with documenting online and computer cached social networking artifacts.  The artifacts were preserved and reported for discovery purposes.

Computer Forensics
A client was involved in a divorce proceeding where her husband was claiming a lower income than was actually received. Inland Investigations Group was hired to conduct a forensic examination on the client’s home computer. IIG was able to recover key financial documents showing the husband’s additional, unreported income.
